Bang your head festival

The bang your head music festival has been attracting heavy metal fans from all over the world during the past 10 years and continues to do so. The jubilee concert in 2005 brought on stage bands like TWISTED SISTER, MOTÖRHEAD, DIO, SAXON, GAMMA RAY, NEVERMORE, CANDLEMASS, JAG PANZER etc. During one weekend in summer, the "head bangers" peacefully live in tents and crowd the town of Balingen. Even "none-head-bangers" cannot help but feel the special atmosphere and the charm of this festival.

Schömberg Carnival

The Schömberg Fasnet carnival traditions are worth mentioning. Many traditional customs have been kept alive for the carnival period leading up to Ash Wednesday. Traditional figures of the Schömberg carnival are named "Fransennarr", "Fuchswadel" and "Halbschwarzer" which might sound strange to foreign ears.
