Towns, Villages and Culture
Towns, Villages and Culture – just enjoy life

The towns and villages of the district of Zollernalb offer museums, exhibitions, theatres and concerts, but also attractive and well-conserved town-centres that invite you to visit, stroll or just stay there.

In spite of being a rather rural district, the Zollernalb area offers a wide range of cultural events and can be proud to be able to be favourably compared to even urban places. Exhibitions showing the art of no less renowned painters than Chagall, Monet, Picasso, Klee and Schmidt-Rottluff already took place in Balingen. But it is not only the Balingen municipal hall or the gallery Albstadt that are worth seeing. There are also art and culture exhibitions referring to former and modern times in more than 30 different museums and collections - for example the Roman manor and open air museum in Hechingen-Stein, the only German whip museum in Burladingen-Killer, the knitwear museum in Albstadt, the Hohenzollern regional collection in Hechingen or the historical Atomkeller museum in Haigerloch.

Shopping in factory outlets

The district of Zollernalb is the home of world-renowned brands like Gonso, Medico, Trigema, Nina von C., Sanetta and many others. Factory outlets offer a good opportunity to buy branded goods at sensational prices. But not only the textile industry, but also other trades are well represented in the district of Zollernalb. The WFG has issued a booklet “Schnäppchen auf der Zollernalb” which can guide you to the places where one can find some real bargains.
